Discussion explored Understanding Ballot Questions, Signature Requirements, Signature Gathering, Legislative Involvement and Responsibilities, and Campaign Financing for Ballot Questions.

DATE TBD - Candidates Night to be rescheduled closer to June 27th Town Election.

HINGHAM UPDATES - 2020 Town Meeting is Saturday, June 20th and Town Election is June 27th.

Due to the COVID-19 state of emergency, the Board of Selectmen voted to move Town Meeting to Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm with a raindate of Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm. The meeting will take place outdoors on the High School Multi-Purpose Athletic Field.

The Town Election is rescheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2020. 

In order to engage voters early in the Annual Town Meeting legislative process, The LWV Hingham hosts an annual public review of the content of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant.

The forum gives citizens the opportunity to review Articles and ask questions. They can then follow up by attending Advisory Committee meetings at which the Advisory Committee will discuss its recommendations for the particular articles in which the citizens are interested.
